The Québec government has entrusted the management of the Québec Parental Insurance Plan to the Conseil de gestion. The Conseil is also the trustee for the self-balancing fund which finances the Plan. Employers, wage earners and self-employed workers contribute to the plan and are represented by the Board of Directors.
The Conseil answers to the to which it provides expertise and advice on matters under its jurisdiction.
The Conseil also maintains partnerships with the departments and agencies providing essential expertise and networks for the proper functioning of the Plan. They are the ones who provide the services to citizens.
