Update

Parents who would like to find out the Family Allowance amounts they will receive can connect to Retraite Québec’s My Account service. In addition to being able to consult their annual notice, parents will be able to follow the progress of a request for a change in their file following a separation, adoption or change in custody. Also, thanks to the notification system, they will be notified by mail or text message when a document is uploaded, such as the annual notice.

The Conseil de gestion de l'assurance parentale will be conducting a survey on family-work balance, in collaboration with the Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale. It is intended for parents who received parental insurance benefits for the birth of a child in 2018 or 2019.

The questionnaire-based survey will be sent by email to approximately 6,000 people as of October 12, 2021. It will take about ten minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Your participation is important to help us further improve the support provided to parents.

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity and Minister Responsible for the Mauricie region, Jean Boulet, is pleased to announce that parents whose weekly earnings are less than $540 can receive an increased benefit of up to 85% or 100% of their average weekly earnings, depending on the plan option they chose, rather than between 55% and 75% as currently provided for by the QPIP for all its clientele.
