How Do I Register for Online Services?

Access to the service in English

Service in English is reserved for individuals covered by the exceptions stipulated in the Charter of the French language. If you have navigated to this content, you confirm in good faith that you are such an individual.

You need to register for the Québec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) online services if you wish to apply for benefits and/or manage your file online. You can register anytime, even if you applied for benefits over the phone with the help of a Centre de service à la clientèle officer.

To register for the QPIP online services, you must first register for the clicSÉQUR service.

clicSÉQUR is Québec's government authentication service that gives each user a single ID consisting of a user code and a password. This user-specific ID gives you safe and secure access to the online services of all participating Québec government departments and agencies.

If you already have a clicSÉQUR ID, you must identify yourself by entering your user code and password where indicated. Once your identity is confirmed, you must agree to allow Revenu Québec to send us your information in order to complete your QPIP online services registration.

If you do not have a clicSÉQUR ID, you must first register with clicSÉQUR. When at the clicSÉQUR website, click on “I am a new user” in order to register with clicSÉQUR and be able to access the QPIP online services. During registration with clicSÉQUR, the following information will be requested:

  • your social insurance number;
  • your birth date;
  • the notice of assessment number that you received from Revenu Québec after you filed your most recent tax return (11 characters). If you do not have the notice of assessment number on hand, you will need to contact Revenu Québec to obtain it. Note that if you do not have the notice of assessment number, you can always contact the QPIP's Centre de service à la clientèle in order to file your application by telephone with the assistance of an agent. The notice of assessment number is only required if you are using the QPIP online services.
