Update

Are you an elected official (or hoping to become one) and planning to take time off work to welcome a new child into your family, whether during pregnancy, following a birth or for an adoption? We have some good news! You can now find all the information you need about participation in the Québec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) in the new Élu(e)s municipaux et congés parentaux (PDF, 462,5 Ko) (French only) fact sheet.

If you move, you must inform the QPIP of your new address and telephone number. To do so, access your online file, or call the Centre de service à la clientèle at 1-888-610-7727. The information is needed in order for us to send you important information, such as your income tax slips. Note that you must provide us with your new address even if you have already made a change of address using the Service québécois de changement d’adresse.

The government has announced through a press release (French only) that the premium rate for the Québec Parental Insurance Plan will be decreasing by 6%, as of January 2020.
