A person who has received a benefit for which he or she was not eligible or who has received an overpayment in benefits must repay the excess amounts.
The Centre de recouvrement is the agency responsible for recovering amounts paid under the Québec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP).

A notice of claim is sent to a person who unduly received an amount. The notice explains the reasons, the period covered, as well as the nature and amount of the claim.
