Premium rates and maximum insurable earnings for 2016


The maximum insurable earnings taken into account when calculating parental insurance benefits will increase to $71,500 as of January 1, 2016. Québec Parental Insurance Plan premium rates will decrease by 2% as of the same date. For more information on premium rates and maximum insurable earnings.

Premium rates reduced for 2016


As of January 1, 2016, premium rates for the Québec Parental Insurance Plan will decrease by 2%. The rate will be 0.548% of insurable earnings for salaried workers, 0.767% for employers and 0.973% for self-employed workers. For additional information, see the press release (French only).
